A monsterous selfie
Because uses camera to photos of anything but themselves these days? Well, apart from weirdos who like to take pictures of toys.
Princess Peach happy meal toy: an inaction figure
Recently, the Super Mario happy meals toys were briefly in the news, on account of it being a slow news day. That sort of thing has been written about endlessly already. However, what grabbed my attention was the Princess Peach toy.

I ain't afraid of no blind bag mini-figure!
Do zombie pirates count as ghosts? Or would the proton beams simply tear his body apart and make a right old mess? Leave that conundrum to Dan Aykroyd, because I'm too jazzed by the latest Lego mini-figure line, the theme being monsters. And just in time for Halloween. I grabbed a random bag at a Lego store and got the zombie pirate, who comes with a big old sword, hook, beard, and excellent, painted on, detail that shows off the decaying skin. And with the use of a Tamashii Stage (act.5 for mechanics to be exact) and some blu-tack, you can give your Lego Ghostbusters a supernatural foe to battle.

Li'l Gotham blind bag mini-figure review
Kotobukia have been really getting my attention lately. Their recent line of reasonably priced "ArtFX" statues, in their "Art FX" line, as well as their growing line of model kits, but most of all their new mini-figure line, based on the "Li'l Gotham" comic.

Masters of The Universe minis review
He-Man and the Masters Of The Universe (MOTU), the show that started the whole "cartoon-as-toy-advertising, genre. Even though it's been over a decade since there was a MOTU show on the telly, He-Man, et all, still carry strong retro appeal. And had a toy revival in the "classics" line (which are sold exclusively from online retailer, Matty Collector), to kept the core fanbase stated for new figures. Last year, Mattel released mini-figures, based upon the classics line- in a series of build-a-set two-packs.

Lego TIE Advanced Prototype: A literal lucky bag
So I was in the Lego store I tend frequent (due to it being near to where my partner works), and one of the store assistants mentioned that they still had some left over polybag kits, from one of their promotional days- where you turn up and build a little kit, then get to take it home. So it pays to be friendly with you local Lego store, and to have that VIP card. Because they need that feedback and who doesn't like free Lego?
